MIUI is one of the most popular custom ROMs available for Android smartphones. And now, it’s coming to tablets too with MIUI 13 Pad.

Xiaomi’s new tablet-optimized operating system is called MIUI 13 Pad (not to be confused with the regular MIUI 13, which is only available for smartphones).

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun recently teased that the upcoming MIUI 13 for tablets will have features tailored for multitasking through improved gestures and an improveduniversal taskbarto open or switch between applications from any screen. The new OS will allow at least two apps to be visible at the same time.

Thanks to the updated layout, Xiaomi says its new tablet OS doesn’t waste any screen space for any of the more than 3,000 apps it has already approved.

As for what other tablet-specific optimizations and features will be introduced in MIUI 13 Pad OS, we can only wait to see until it is revealed soon. Xiaomi is holding a big launch event where a number of new products are likely to be introduced, including MIUI 13 and with MIUI 13 Pad Operating system for tablets.

As for MIUI 13, the update is bringing a number of new features. The focus, however, is on privacy and smoothness. It has some meaningful changes for system apps and redesigned widgets too.
